I have a 2001 V70 I just purchased (used, of course). It has 54k miles on it and I am experience a delay when accelerating from a stop sign, stop light, etc. There seems to be a delay in the upshift, like it is in neutral and then it hits first gear??? I called a local Volvo dealer that came highly recommended. When I told him about this, he immediatly replied that it as a 2-3 flair shift and that a software update to my tranmission module would fix it.
Is this true? Seems like a simple fix. I keep reading about transmission replacements and I don't have the funds to replace the transmission.
Also, the other day, when I put it into reverse, the car seemed to hesitate and jolt a little bit. I am taking the car into the dealship this coming Monday for the software update.
I am a new Volvo owner and would really appreciate any help at all in weeding through this issue. Thanks in advance for the assistance!!
