2000 V70 XC dropping drive shaft

Post by kahl »

I have read the posts about dropping or removing the drive shaft on a 1998 XC. Is the 2000 pretty much the same? Remove the hex head bolts front and rear then remove the carrier bearing assbly and pull out drive shaft from the rear. just bought this car on eBay with carrier bearing problems. I'm am picking it up on Sat. Morning and want to make sure I know what to remove.

thanks

The procedure is all the same but the bolt lengths can vary. Be sure to hang on to your old parts.
