FWD not much to worry about.
The 3.2 does NOT have timing belt.

I looked at both 2007 3.2 and a 2005 2.5T and ended up buying the 2.5T purely for price reason.

The 3.2 is a very good engine, rarely any issues.

I recommend:
1. PPI

2. Old service records

3. Carfax just to see if there was any accident

4. Learn how to fix things, I posted some DIYs recently for my 2005 XC90 2.5T with 83K, you might want to look at those DIYs (spark plugs, fuel filter, fluid changes etc.)...

Occasionally the bolt will come loose on the alternator drive gear. When it happens, you will hear a very loud whine and then the alternator will stop charging. It is not a difficult repair. Just remember to put locktite on the new bolt and torque it properly. I bought mine with 125000 miles on it. Now has 152000 and has been very good. Getting 19-20 mpg. Tires are lasting about 25000 miles. These are two of the major consumer complaints, but I can live with them. Here is a pretty decent video on Youtube on how to replace the alernator drive:
