1001 s40 Volvo squeaking comming from front tires

It seems that I am getting an inordinate amount of squeaking coming from the front tires.

I read someplace that this can be fixed by replacing the drive links.

Is this true. Is it only the drive links thta need to be replaced?

I thought that maybe the rubber bushings on the front suspension needed
to be also replaced.

Any help appreciated.
