2004 S60 Fuel Gauge adn MTE calc mis-match

Here's one I can't seem to locate any info on...

2004 S60 - 75K miles. Fuel gauge and MTE calculation in the message center was always repeatable. MTE would read about 420 miles to empty on fillup and ramp down normally. Now it CONSISTENTLY reads about 125 miles higher at fillup (about "550 miles to empty") and ramps down linearly - always staying about 125 miles "higher" than it used to - like it's "shifted" high. The gauge is accurage - shen it's down to about 1/2 full point the car will take between 8-9 gallons to top off so it's close to right.

The only thing I can consider is that Volvo uses 2 separate FLI's (sensors) and the one for the message center is off somehow? (at Ford, we use a single sensor and send it to both the IP gauge and the message center module to calculate the MTE?
