'96 850 GLT Question: new design OE front brake pads

Post by dosbricks »

Greetings again. I purchased Volvo blue box pads for my 850 wagon and all the fronts have a dust slot down the middle and are beveled on one edge only. As I follow the arrows and the Right and Left markings on the back of the pads this would place the bevel on the upper leading edge relative to the rotor rotation. Am I deciphering this correctly?

A couple of months ago I did a full brake job on the S70 and wanted to experiment with Mintex red box pads and the install was strictly intuitive, but I just want to make sure I have got it right with these new design Volvo pads. Thanks.
