I've been following the forum silently for a long time and am very thankful for the helpful info. Today, I would like to get your opinions on my issue. My 2003 XC70 (192K mi) recently started to have several error codes and electrical problems some of which I fixed.
For ca. 1 year now, I have had ECM-130A (ETM/large air leak) pop up. In the beginning, I did not care and just deleted the code and it would not appear again for weeks. By now, and for the last 2 weeks, after driving 10 mi the code pops up again. Also, for the last 2 weeks, I have a new code ECM-262A (Long-term fuel trim. Upper limit). At that time, I also had a cylinder misfire error message with the engine running rough and I exchanged all 5 plugs and coils. After changing plugs and coils, the engine runs smooth including at idle but the two codes above remain. Also, the board computer tells me that my average MPG has dropped to just ~13 mpg (due to the fuel trim issue??)
I have read a little bit about the Volvo ETM issues but I thought those were mostly affecting models up to 2002.
Any suggestions which parts will need to be changed/where the problem(s) lies?
Thanks!!
