1994 850 non turbo transmission fluid

What is the best transmission fluid for ( 1994) nonturbo 850 wagon 144k miles .And where I can buy it. My transmission is working but get a "bump" when changing lower gears
There are any additives I can add to improve it?

I use Dexron III/Mercon. Last time it was Valvoline bought in 1gal containers from Walmart. I did the drain, flush & fill with 3 gallons. I do it every year. I have never used any "fancy" fluids, just basic, proper ATF. I've had my last 850 for 12 years and going...never a shifting issue.

You buy it at any auto parts store, or department store. Have you ever done the drain, flush & fill to your 850 before? How is the level and condition of your tranny fluid now?

Level is ok, color is red not burned, I drain it every 2years and refill with 3 qrt Castrol/Import multi-vehicle automatic transmission fluid

Although the fluid sounds fine, 3 quarts is not draining very much of it, you may want to do a full flush. I also use whatever cheap Dex III I can find, usually Super tech (yep, Wal-mart house brand). With regular fluid changes, these transmissions are nearly bullet proof. Especially in an NA.
