96 volvo 850 R ABS module testing

I have a ABS light on and took mine apart and tried soldering the joints and didn't fix it. I decided to go to the junk yard and get one. I found a low mileage 850 and I took the ABS module out of it and installed in mine and still have a ABS light. I know theres no way of knowing if it worked or not.

Is there any way of testing if the module is bad for sure or if its the ABS pump motor ? The wires going to my pump motor were bare, I also checked all the fuses and there good...

Triple check that the connector to the module is seated properly. Then check it again. Really common to not seat in all the way and leave the ABS light on.

The wires on the 96's suffer from crap insulation that falls apart, it is a known weak spot, definitely beef it up with rubber tape or liquid tape. If the wires touch it will trigger the ABS light. Make sure the wires are still connected too, it can be tricky.
