1998 S70 Low Beam H7/55W Bulbs

Post by Mr. Detail »

O.K., bought what I thought was a quality set of PIAA halogen bulbs only about a year ago and on the way home from work tonight I got the idiot lamp telling me a bulb somewhere was out. I looked an sure enough the pass. side headlamp bulb is out.
Can anyone recommend a decent, bright bulb that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and might last for more than one year?

A fellow Volvo enthusiast wrote, "Osram Rallye 65 Watt H7 in highs and lows. Very bright and have had no issues wiring wise. Approximately 0.8 Amp difference between 55W and 65W bulbs."

Do you guys agree here that there would not be any wiring issues?

Thanks much!

I used to be a die hard PIAA or Hella guy....but honestly in the last couple of years I gotta agree with cn90 - Sylvania - personally i like their SilverStar line, but have not had any issues on the ones I have been using and selling over the last 5 or so years. They're cheap and they get the job done.
