Black on black 2001 V70 2.4L T5 with HPT and 5 speed manual. I am the third owner (first being ford exec program car, second being my father) It has 228,XXX miles on original engine and transmission. Engine still runs like a scolded dog, turbo is strong but the syncro mesh in the transmission is toasted. Pops out of 5th gear and has the typical noises/etc of a failing trans but it still drives.. That said once it started I stopped driving it and only take out once a week for posterity. That would be the major work needed but add to the list inner/outer front tie rods and control arms, bushings worn, brakes all around, needs new rear tires, Driver side window clips need replaced, Blower is tempermental as well as the clutch on the compressor (never had time for bread clip fix). I did hit a deer about 2 years ago and replaced hood, intercooler, radiator, radiator mount, both front headlights and a couple other things. While I did this on my own the quarter panels need to be adjusted to line things up but It never bothered me.
Has all the bells and whistles, most of which work but the bottom line is im really sad to see it go purely from the driving standpoint. I find myself in the new XC trying to get it to do what the V did and its a sad transition. I will accept reasonable offers on this as I know it a project car.
