I have a 1999 S70. The cassette deck suddenly stopped working. I was looking at pull-offs but most I have found are between $100 and $200. I can get a new aftermarket for that. Has anyone replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket? Does it require specific hardware to install it?

You'll need a tray, radio harness, an aftermarket radio, thick double sided tape, butt connectors and crimping tool.

Prepare the new radio harness by mating the harness with the radio harness, remove old radio, plug in the new harness, plug in the radio to make sure it works, secure the metal bracket that came with the radio with double sided tape and pliers, install the radio, install the tray and you're done.

- Stock unit is about $35 on ebay.

- In the past, I have installed Blaupunkt CD player (about $100). But you need a kit to convert to Blaunpunkt.
