A $1,000 premium for buying from a car dealer seems a bit much.

I prefer to buy from a private party as I can get a better idea of the cars history and maintenance. Dealers take in a car like this on trade and try to flip it quickly and get as much as they can. Of the cars listed, I would look at the one by owner, looks clean and they've owned it since 2003. Once you drive it and inspect the repair documents you'll have an idea of what it will need going forward. I always like to shop several cars to get a feel for the best deal. Hope this helps.
