2000 S80 - No start - Fuel pump is not starting

Ok - I am pulling my hair out on this.

I have the 2000 S80 and it ran fine. All of a sudden it died on the wife. The fuel pump would not come on. After checking all of the fuses and not finding an issue there, I towed the car home. I checked the fuel pump directly and it is fine. I checked the fuel pump relay by switching it out with the relay for the horn, it seems fine. If I run a jumper in place of the relay (jumping prong 3 and 5) the fuel pump runs and the car will start. What are the potential reasons that the fuel pump will not run?

Thanks in advance for any advice that you can offer.

I am having almost the same problem on my 2000 T6. I don't have an answer for you but can I ask for your help? You stated " I checked the fuel pump directly and it is fine. I checked the fuel pump relay .." Where is the fuel pump relay? I see relays in the fuse box under the engine hood but I can't find anywhere, including the owner's manual, google, etc., where the fuel pump relay is located.
My T6 always ran and started even with all the other troubles I had with it then just one day it would not start.
Also how did you check the fuel pump?

I have exactly the same problem. Fuel Pump relay is right hand side under the dash in position CMI12. You can link the fat pins on the relay (socket) with a wire (2 spade terminals crimped to a piece of wire). These are relay pins 3 & 5. This will force the Fuel Pump on.
You can monitor the fuel pump pressure with a pressure gauge connected to the fuel rail at the inspection port (Schrader valve - looks like a bicycle tyre valve). You can also fix your gauge to the fuel filter under the right rear suspension of the car.

I haven't solved the problem yet.
