2003 C70 Bumper Cover "Welding"

Post by robotarmy »

Greetings,
My C70 bumper cover is trashed out from dragging on my freaking steep-ass driveway. On the underside of the bumper (see attached photo), there is a whole section missing.
I saw a video on YouTube about how to weld plastic bumpers without using expensive kits.

I want to weld a section in there. However, I have no idea what kind of plastic is used to make the Volvo bumpers.
Anyone know?

The rectangular section was trimmed out to be more square. I want to "weld" a piece of plastic into this section.

Bumpers alone are made of polypropylene.

Plastic shield from under the front of the car is made of abs plastic.
