Stephans CO to Portland OR trip...1998 V70 GLT. Update

Post by stephansvolvo »

i wanted to thank, everyone for their help over the last three months of this project. Yes I said three months, don't judge me!
I got the head on everything back together a few little things to adjust and tighten up but The Swede started right up.
I have driven it for the last 3 days for approximately 100 miles. I was in a big push to get this done but, done right. The Swede and I will be making our trek to the NW, IPDs neck of the woods, Astoria Oregon to start my new position as Executive Chef. We leave May 22 late afternoon after my oldest kid graduates Highschool.
I feel with the work I've done The Swede is road trip Worthy. This will be the test if I did it right.

Again thanks for all the help, support and expertise.
If it's okay with Mathew I'd like to post some pics of the trip at different points?

Stephan

After a quick nap of an hour in western WY I'm back on the road.
I was detoured through 20 miles of country dirt roads water and dirt=MUD. I'll post pics when the sun comes up.

Yes and yes. I pulled the code and it's the evap system. I ran out of time to replace the hoses from the canister back. I have them though. Next project. I'm getting better GM than I ever have with an average of 23.
