98 V70 AWD found broken vacuum line.

Post by PooYork »

i was replacing my ABS module today and I found a broken vacuum hose. It's a yellow hose that hooks into the top right port of the Turbo Air Intake Hose.

Here is the link to the part

My question is, where does this line go? I couldn't for the life of me find the break and i traced many lines as well as looked at a diagram of vacuum lines to no avail.

Thank all you MVS'ers.

That line should be marked blue and is the fresh air line from the turbo control valve (TCV). The yellow marked line should go to the waste gate. The TCV should be mounted on the airbox near the bottom of the passenger side.

I had a similar moment of panic when I bought my car. I ended up finding the component mentioned above resting on the oxygen sensor harnesses directly below the airbox to turbo hose that your vacuum line is hanging from.

It's a small module with three vacuum nipples and an electrical dongle. Two go to the turbo and the yellow one to the pipe as mentioned above.
