Starting to play with this may give weird results, better don't throw the original parts if you replace them
One way to lift is to use larger tires and account for the speedometer change. Another way and perhaps the better is to put new Sachs shock absorbers. They will rise the car 1-2cm.

Several Volvo Repair Videos https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... s0FSVSOT_c
Front: XC70 automatic front springs, 7mm spacer on strut top, and 12mm diameter lower(out of two) shock bolt instead of 14mm. Rear 6cm specer on springs and 6cmm shock absorber extension. Front lifts 5,5m, rear 6,5cm.
If i had to do it second time, i would put xc70 manual transmision front springs and 4cm spacers in the rear.

what did you use for the spacer? I want the front of my 2004 S60 AWD to be the same height as the rear.
For my daughter's subaru, I bought these spacers from Subtle:

The only pain part is driving out the old studs and then adding their extra long ones.
Funny the make spacers for Saab, but not Volvo!

I didnt use spacer in the front, the ones i managed to find where 250 a piece for 12mm if i remember corectly. So i bought springs from xc, they fit v70/xc70/s80/s60 and 850 if i`m not mistaken. the lenght will be different thoug. v70 original lenght 447mm, xc automatic 504mm, xc manual 475mm. What i managed to find is thet s60 2,4D front springs are 434mm, AWD should be the same.

thanks for the numbers, that will really help to search for the right spring for the increase I want. I just measured mine, tip to tip. It was 17'' which converts to 431.8 mm. Very close to the 434!
