I was searching this site and the web for timing belt service schedules as my s60 I have is at 8.5 years with 52,000km's since it was last done.

Anyway, I found this:

Off topic - I love the way that the exact same mechanical components, under the 39 VIN code, magically change service interval from 120k miles to 150k miles.

This is to get the marketing hype as a 'PZEV' vehicle under EPA rules.

If you are a pessimist (glass half empty) change it at 120/10 years
If you are an optimist (glass half full) change it at 150/ 10 years

If you are neither, take out a renewable timing belt insurance policy, dont change it at all, sell the bundled policies as a derivative transportation index mutual funds, reap in the profits, and then complain about AMT while drinking Glenlivet on your yacht.
