So i'm guessing the previous owner of this car parked under a tree. I pulled off the roof rails and it was packed to the gills with debris, I found a few rust bubbles that were forming under the epoxy strip that they put in the seam between the side and roof panels. I've been chipping off the epoxy and it looks like most of the weld is rusting down the entire side. I caught it early so it hasn't make it much further than surface rust.
I'm thinking wire brush it as well as possible, ospho it to help stop and then give it a coat with epoxy primer and then finally a coat of silver. This is all under the roof rails so not too worried about looks, just want to make sure I don't have any future issues.
Any suggestions?
