97 850 ECU monitor reset
97 850 ECU monitor reset
After reading the almost insane requirements to reset the monitors on the computer to get smogged, can I jack up the drive wheels and follow all the procedures to set things right? How do they do it at a dealership where they can't always follow the exact procedures?

They don't. I've been failed on monitor not ready, and they tell you to drive for a week and then come back. This is a pita as you can still be ticketed. I drive the car local where I know all the cops who won't ticket a decent looking car where everything works, but YMMV

Thread rehash , but if your state follows EPA regs, you are allowed 2 monitors not ready and still pass an OBD inspection,

Thanks, folks... unfortunately, I live in Kalifornia, the only state allowed to supercede the EPA. I've decided to start by doing the Flywheel adaptation, then do the driving sequence. Never thought this would be this insane!
