I need help. Tonight if possible. My 960, I replaced a coolant temperature sensor two and a half weeks ago. Today, my car started surging with my youngest in the car on our way to dinner. It always has a tiny little bit of wiggle in the rpm gage but this was surging to 3500rpm on a slight tap of the gas. I went straight home instead of chancing it not starting again and it surged to 4100rpm as I was turning into my driveway. I made the mistake of putting it in park to shut it off instead of drive and it surged and wouldn't stop racing. I let it crawl as I usually do and it was almost at 15 mph! I depressed the brake really hard and I was still trying to roll. I pulled the park brake and it smelled like a small amount of rubber burning until I shut it off. It struggle a little to shut but did after a few seconds. I knew it wouldn't start and, again, it cranks like it is almost turning over. I let it sit for and hour and a half and It struggled to turn over, but it did. It sounded rough and revved in spurts for a second or two and I revved it myself and it took a little time for it to turn back to normal. Help? I am pretty handy so I think I can fix it myself, but I just don't know what it could be. Also, my cooling fan won't shut off. I have it unplugged for this reason, but I plugged it in to take a look at it. Thank you.
