1998 S90 bad tire wear in rear

We ahve a 1998 S90 with 112k miles on the odometer and we have been experiencing really bad tire wear in the rear. Tires will go bald after approx 5k miles. The front wears great. The whole suspension has been aligned and new shocks are in place. Our mechanic doesn't think that there is anything wrong. Any one experience anything like this. We are going through tires like crazy. Any help would be greatly apprechiated. Thank you

Where did he learn his trade? There is something drastically wrong if tyres are wearing out that quickly.

The whole suspension has been aligned and new shocks are in place.

Where did you have this work done? Not by your mechanic, I hope!

Do you know if the vehicle has been involved in a major collision? If it has, the whole thing could be twisted.

I would suggest that you have the suspension alignment checked by another shop, using laser alignment equipment.

Turns out after bringing it to a suggested suspension guy from our mechanic that the rear was never actually aligned, even though we paid for it to be done twice b/c Martino tire did such a horrible job. Now that the new guy aligned and we bought new tires everything seems to be ok. Do not ever use martino tire in Davie FL they are liers and cheaters.
