The transmission is going out on me. I have been driving it cautiously around town to try to diagnose, but I believe it is a shift solenoid problem.
THE BAD:
1) I believe the solenoid for 4th gear is dying, and the PNP switch is on its way out too. I understand this can be fixed rather cheaply in the right hands... I have a junkyard PNP to give away too, untested
2) The engine might need a head gasket in the not so distant future, but runs quite well
3) Driver door and quarter panel were damaged by a deer, but have since been replaced with parts that are just barely different color. you will see in pictures
4) Lots of little cosmetic dings, but still looks like a respectable ol' swede
5) Only CEL other than transmission related stuff is related to the SAS pump which is no biggy (at least here in AR)
THE GOOD:
1) Most of the front end is brand new with Lemforder parts. Control arms, Inner & Outer Tie Rods, and (iPD HD swaybar endlinks). The bushings for the sway bar need replacement, and could probably use those iPd subframe bushing inserts.
2) All shocks and struts were replaced about 4 years ago
3) The driver seat isn't torn to $***. But it is also a slightly different color! Yay!
4) I did the whole PCV system less than a year ago
5) Along with PCV is brand new OEM ignition parts (distributor cap & rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs)
6) Front brakes are great, rear rotors are getting thin, but I have replacements ready to go. Will get to the spare parts later..
7) A/C blows ice cold, heater works as it should
Rides real smooth and in good alignment9) Almost new tires on the front, rears could be replaced soon

- IPD rear overload springs, brand new
- New rear rotors

- Victor Reinz head gasket kit, includes: head gasket, front cam shaft oil seals (I replaced the rears last year), valve stem seals
