Roof Bars: S60 vs V70

Post by RickG »

Does anyone know if roof bars designed for a 2004 S60 will fit a 2007 V70?

They have two different part #s (V70 31213161, S60 31213158) but according to the page below (under Fitment), it looks to be interchangeable.

Just trying to confirm ... I have an opportunity to buy a set from a S60 and want to be certain they'll fit.

Thanks -

We have them for our S60 but not sure of the part number. If you're not in a hurry I can check next week when we get home from our vacation. I would think that as long as it has the little prong that goes in the door seal you're good but then again, the S60 has more of a slope at the rear door area than the V70 so the bars (at least the rear) might not be interchangeable.

That would be great. I do know the front and rear bars for the V70 are also of slightly different lengths.

I just received a note from IPd ... close but no cigar. Yes, the "feet" are the same but there is a difference in bars.
At least that's good to know. To bad it's not as simple as the 850's (sedan or wagon) or even the earlier P80 S/V/XC/C70's
