Volvo S60 R, Time to upgrade

Hows it going. I currently drive a 2003 s60 2.4T, the car has been great and for the most part very cheap and easy to maintain. (im very familiar with working on cars and have done all maintain and fixes myself) I am thinking of upgrading to an S60R. My only stipulation is that the car needs to have a standard Trans, what are some things i should keep in mind when shopping for one. ( are there any years or models i should stay away from and what are the common problems with R models) What are you experiences with you R

Specifically, the most important thing besides the obvious, bottom-line stuff is the 4C struts: Volvo fourc struts

The manual gearbox/clutch have no worse reputation than anything else on these cars. No gotchas there.
