I've still/again got the gas smell on fill-up. Replaced the vent hose, filler neck rubber part, and re-potted the little area where the electrical wires enter the top of the pump. The dried trail of gas clearly leads to the pump area, but sort of fades away before it gets there, so I can't say 100% it's in the pump area, but likely. Today I found a bit of gas in the vertical plastic tube stub that stands on the fuel pump top next to the hose connections. What is this and why is it there? I pushed a wire in, but it doesn't seem to go into the pump. How is it getting gas in it? Even if the pump gasket was leaking, how does it put gas in this tube?
Thanks!
Fuel in plastic tube on top of fuel pump?

I had one that got some crud on the O ring in the quick connect and the supply line leaked. I removed the connector again, cleaned it with a Q tip, and reseated the connector and the leak stopped.

Thanks! I saw that post you link, but hadn't seen the top of the pump wet, so I didn't think it applied to me. Today I caught it in the act, so I'll re-seat the connectors and see if that cures it. Fortunately, mine was nowhere near as bad as the picture in the link!
