1999 S70 A/C Evaporator drain issue

My 1999 S70 drain fitting- the one that comes from the floor and attaches to the hose- has broken free from the floor of the car, causing most the to drainage to empty into the passenger's compartment.

So far I have used several types of adhesive, one part, two part, and even JB weld to secure it in place with no luck. The JB weld by far was the most successful(I used the marine version thinking it would hold up better against water), but it only lasted a month before once again pulling away from the floor.

Has anyone else experience this and what was your remedy? Honestly, if the JB weld does not hold I am not sure what adhesive will.

Are you fitting the grommet slot into the floor piece? I've never put any adhesive in mine and it hasn't come loose

As far as I can tell, there is no slot. Its a round plastic piece with a fitting on the top for the drain hose. Perhaps the fitting is no longer there?

Can you take a pic of this? If I recall there is a rubber grommet-conduit like thing the hose just pops in to..like with a click or similar indicating it's in place. Not much to go wrong there. The A/C drain hose, right? Connection under the heater core, or right in front of it?

Yeah,

Make sure the grommet (whatever you call it!) in the floor is there.
If not, get a new grommet.

Will do. I can post a pic, but the one above by CN90 matches what I have. The grommet with the fitting is what has come loose. I had the hardest time figuring out why I was getting moisture in the car. Thinking it was a clogged drain, upon inspection it was not clogged. The part with the arrow pointed to it- the grommet with the fitting, had come loose and was stuck in the hose. It leaves a gap wide enough for the water to seep through into the carpet. As stated above, I tried several types of adhesive to keep it in place but to no avail. Is there supposed to be a slot of some sort there to hold the grommet down?
