2000 S40 34,500 miles $13,500 - San Jose, CA

We just purchased an S40 with a few problems, but don't really feel like taking the time to troubleshoot and fix them.

No Volvo Warranty, could transfer current extended warranty for $1700 more, otherwise will be cancelled.

Was in an accident at 6,000 miles, but does not have a salvage title. A mechanic who visually looked over the car thought that, though the local bady damage repairs were clearly visible, the accident did not damage anything important. Repaired. Purchased at 9,000 miles and driven to 33,000 miles by an owner who did not mind the constant A/C fan. He had no failures, no mainentance other than brakes, tires, and oil change every 3k.

Problems: interior A/C fan always on, speed switch does not do anything. (Hoping that it is only the relay). Currently leaking oil, though the previous owner, who did his own oil changes, swears that it was dry when he traded it in. (Dealer drove car 1,300 miles between our ownerships.) Hoping extended warranty will fix the oil leak. SRS light does not lamp at start. Don't know what is wrong yet.
