Aluminum control arms

I have a 94 Turbo Wagon with aluminum control arms. Are there any special differences with these vs. the later steel control arms? Do the same control arm bushings and struts fit both? I noticed on the Bilstein site that they have two different front struts (91-93, 94-98 ). Does this have anything to do with the different control arms? Thanks, Scott
