Sorry to hear about your problem. This is going to be tough nut to crack. When we bought our XC our dealer told us not to use the spare so I got rid off it in order to be tempted to use it. Instead I became the member of AAA. Love these cars but the spare design is plainly stupid. Why did Volvo not stick with normal spare is besides me.

AAA is good but you have to watch out how you tow an AWD too....make sure you look at your owner's manual. Many, if not most Volvo AWD owners allow their cars to be transported by a flat bed truck only.
