I found a very small pipe, about 24" long, behind the air filter box that is going nowhere. It is attached to the left rubber elbow, looking on top of the box. There are 2 of these right next to each other.
Can somebody point me to where the other end is connecting to? The car is hesitating a little in the mid range, and I'm wondering if this is related.
Thanks, Dirk

Not sure exactly where it goes, but that's a vacuum line. Find where it goes and your hesitation will probably go away.
Look up a vacuum routing for your model and you might find where it goes.

I was not planning to drive my V70 to work today, but the 850 had a dead battery this morning. So I thought it's a good time for a test drive to see about the hesitation. I fixed the little vacuum pipe yesterday.
To my surprise, the hesitation was still present went I left the house, but after making a stop and getting gas it got better. When I got to the office (40 mile drive) it was finally gone.
I wonder if the ECU had to re- learn things? Especially after I had to remove a giant mouse nest from the air filter box a few weeks ago. Or it just needed to be driven after mostly sitting for a couple of months.
Anyway, it runs great again and driving it this morning reminded me of how much I like this car

Perhaps unplug the battery - a few hours? - until the CCM module gets reset - no light on the speed knob
But there might be a separate issue
