Brake job is coming due on my 2005 S60 2.4L B5244S6. Had a few questions before I order parts. Maybe I'm a dunce (entirely probable) but a search here didn't turn up too much info.
What brand of rotors and pads would you recommended?
Volvo OE pads are semi metallic, but surprisingly don't seem noisy. Semi-metallic is recommended vs. ceramic?
Do you typically replace the caliper slide pins and boots, or just clean and relube?
How about the caliper pad springs, are those typically replaced?
S60 front brakes, what brands?

OEM pads are good but the worst in terms of dust, you'll have to clean the front wheels every week.

Thanks for feedback thus far. I see we have some ceramic pad fans - don't blame you, my experience on other cars leans that direction too.
Only place I've found with ATE pads is here, and the picture clearly shows Brembos LOL
Anyone have experience with the Bosch pads/rotors that IPD and FCP sell?
