Right dash speaker paper crumbled away when I accidentally touched it. Speaker says 8 OHM. I found an Altec Lansing A2723 4 OHM speaker in an old PC Speaker. What are the consequences of using it as the replacement?

You can use 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm with no real issues, the radios aren't that picky. If you replace one on one side and don't match it on the other then there will be a loudness difference left to right so the way to go is to replace them in pairs. You can modify the mounting on any standard 3 1/2" automotive speaker to fit in the hole.
