bad odor inside the car while ac operational

there is this bad odor in my xc90 whenever I turn on the ac. Is this normal ?

I tried spraying Lysol into my AC system but it only lasted a short time.

I then used Comma Air Conditioning cleaner and the smell has been gone now for 7 months.

http://www.commaoil.com/ and click on products then maintenance and follow through to the AC cleaner to get the full story. I don't normally believe the claims for such products but this one does work.
