98 S70 Not working needles (rpm,speedometer,oil etc

lights chk engine n service comes and dash is on. but the Speedometer, rpm,tachometer needles do not move as well as directional indicators which work externally but does not display on DB. All other instruments are OK ie. radio system, A/C, etc.
Instruction manual does not say which or what fuse applies if this problem is a fuse.
Would appreciate any comments ASAP.

Can you get the codes pulled? IT could be a communications problem, but not sure on a 98. I had many of the issues you list but it was a bad ABS module on a 2000 V70. It could be a bad connector on the Speedo unit. To access that you need to pull the dash top off to get in to see it clearly. Remove battery first as dash air-bag is connected to upper dash cover.

Mu guess is a defective ignition switch (the electrical portion sitting on the left side of the steering column).
