2003 V70 2.4 Spark Plugs

Removed the cover with the torx screws, but there is also another part in front of the plugs that appears to block access. 2 bolts fasten it. Can i simply remove those to move this out of the way to get to the plugs. Or is there some other way to do this. The detailed description on the site covered the older engine. Aplogize, don't know what this piece actually is.

These are coil packs. I've not worked on Volvo's that have them, but I've worked on tons of BMW's that do. The "wires" are usually just clipped on to the coil with a simple mechanism. It should be pretty straight forward to unplug it. After this, you can then unbolt the coil itself. I definitely wouldn't try to remove the coils while they're still attached to the wires though. I've seen that tear up the boots (Not cheap).
