Key fob intermittent

Post by hu5ker555 »

2008 S60 2.5T

My key fob used to work great. Recently, it has been very intermittent on being able to remotely unlock/lock the doors, trunk, etc. I replaced the battery in the key fob. No change. I can unlock/lock the doors just fine by inserting the key, but the remote is hit and miss.

Any suggestions?

A new battery in the fob fixed mine.

Take apart. remove battery
CAREFULLY, pull the prongs up a little for a better connection
Put back together

Thanks. I also inserted a small piece of aluminum foil between the battery and the three prongs underneath the battery. So far so good.
