Does anyone know how to reset the service light on a 2001 V70 T5?

MY 2001
Proceed as follows to reset the service reminder indicator (SRI):
-Ignition position I
-Press and hold in the reset button for the trip odometer
-Ignition position II
-The service reminder indicator (SRI) starts flashing when the reset button for the trip odometer has been pressed for 10 seconds
-Release the reset button for the trip odometer within 5 seconds. The instrument gives an audible signal when resetting has succeeded.
Note! If the trip meter reset button is not released within 5 seconds the indicator is not reset. However the indicator will stop flashing.

No, your '98 V70 is the same as my S70 and takes a special reset tool. I bought mine on eBay (Draper Reset tool) for about $65 including shipping. If you're lucky you'll still be able to find one. But honestly, the bulb that comes on in the dash is just a reminder. If you keep up with your car anyway, my suggestion is to take the instrument cluster out and take the bulb out. Either that or ignore it. It serves no other purpose.
