Turning off DLR daylight running lights
I agree these are useful, but I drive mostly daylight time, and can't find a way to turn off the headlights. No matter how I switch they know, these are always on. Is there a way to remove the DLR setting on a 2003 S60?

There's a setting in VIDA to have it all completely off in the 0-mode on the switch. It's called something illogical though.
There's quite a lot of science behind keeping them on for safety even during the day though. Bulbs are cheap.

The parameter for the lights is called "Daytime run-light". Quite logical. The parameter for lights off on 0 is called "flexstd" in Swedish, unsure if it's different in English. All lights on the car will go out.
However that will leave the lights on if you leave the switch in the on-position. Turning a parameter called "Light on warning" to 0 will have all lights turn off when the ignition is off in the lights on-mode as well.

Is there any combination of settings between VIDA and the LSM that will give us 'automatic headlamps' with forward DRL on all the time but the rear tail/position lights off during the day, on at night managed by the twilight sensor?
The way my car is configured the only thing the twilight sensor controls is various interior button and gauge backlighting.

Not as a stock feature, no. And none of the can function extenders I've seen will turn the rears off. The one I've got can use the light sensor in the cabin to switch between headlights and fog lights in the front.mrbrian200 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2018, 22:23 Is there any combination of settings between VIDA and the LSM that will give us 'automatic headlamps' with forward DRL on all the time but the rear tail/position lights off during the day, on at night managed by the twilight sensor?
