Hey guys, new to these forums and to the volvo scene. I recently bought a s60 '04, and after driving it for about 3 weeks I've found a coolant leak. I believe I'm on the right track but I just came here to see if anyone may have a bit more information or any tips on how to remove this hose.
I've done some research online and I do believe I'm looking at a heater core hose. It's a short one. The right one looking at this picture. I also took a short video, I hope it shows what I'm talking about.
But if anyone has any more info on this I'd greatly appreciate it.

I am talking about my old 2001 XC70, and I will assume the hoses are the same. With that qualification - what I am seeing in your video is a hose that goes into the block - on the left side (looking from the bumper right side) that is buried pretty well.
On my XC70 that hose, which also failed on me, took out the head gasket.
What is exact specs on your car - engine specs mainly. I know the hose, but am having little luck finding it. I suppose if you pull the hose you may find a parts number.
Short term fix is to trim it back, but after losing an engine due to this hose, I would be reluctant.

PART NUMBER: 30745334 for hose that is on the left (right looking at firewall).
PART NUMBER: 30745329 for hose that is on the right (left looking at firewall).
Looks like these part numbers are for many Volvo cars, so just plug them in and pull up the diagrams to make sure it is what you are looking for.

Grab one from the junk yard, new should be pricey. Toss the hose with a flat screwdriver at the engine block, it is stuck on it and needs some help to remove it from there. May toss away the silver hose to make some place.

Thanks A lot for the info guys, sadly I don't have a way to get to a junkyard at the moment so I just had to get the part brand new, shippped in. Only $35, not to bad imo.
Oragex, are you saying I'll have to remove the air box to get to the part that's connected to the engine?

Make sure you get genuine Volvo hoses for those parts. After market stuff is poor quality on these items

Yes, important, the $35 seems a little low, suggest buying only from Volvo for this part
For the access to it, there is a long aluminum looking large tube from the air box, removing this tube will make the access easier (not the whole air box)

UPDATE: I replaced the hose, but I'm worried because it's not an exact fit. Should've went with the one straight from volvo. It appears that the nozzle that connects to the heater core isn't as long as it should be so the new hose doesn't go all the way back like it should. But I test drove the car, made some small pulls, and so far no leaks and no hose bursting. Here's a picture of the old one for reference.I'll be keeping an eye on it but I want to replace it with the correct one soon.

Copy that. We won't tell you you overpaid.
The Volvo hoses will run out about $60 each
