gifted 99 V70 basically a long block

Post by jj79 »

Ok, thank you for reading.

i was given a 99 V70 that had a blown head gasket. Previous owner had the head redone and put the new gasket, head, cams and valve cover on. Got frustrated when he couldnt get the cooling line back in on the backside of motor. He has very large hands. i have it now. No sign of rats or any varmit damage. My question is, WHAT BOLTS GO WHERE??
Thank you

Your 99 has some differences from the 96 featured here, but this is the gold standard for head work: How to replace the head gasket on a volvo 850

Scroll to the bottom, there is a link to a pdf with all of the photos - there are a lot of them.
