I don't have it, just discovered it today when harvesting from its 855. The color is tan. Definitely the cleanest one I've seen. It's at the East Bethel UPullRParts site on Hiway 65, right near the entry point of the yard. The seat belts for that seat are also still installed.
If any one is interested, it's a white GLT. Still has a few parts worth the trek if you're within 20 miles or so. Just don't head north on 65 (Central Avenue) after about 2 to 3 p.m. Earlier northerly traffic flows okay. Heading back south during the afternoon to early evening hours is pretty smooth sailing.

Most important part not to break is the obsolete catch in the rear seat backrest. I hate damaging a car in a junkyard but safest was is to cut it out of the backrest and then you can easily un-latch it from the inside of the rear seat back so as to not break the mounting/locking tabs.
Well worth the work to pull. Always seems to be someone wanting one, and if in good condition they are hard to find.

I might return there for one more part, so I suppose I'll be looking at it again.
I recall noticing a chrome strut or something protruding from the back of the back seat toward the way back. Is that part of the latch you're referring to?
I really hate to see a rare part like that go into the crusher. I have one in one of my 855's. Not sure if I'm going to weaken enough to grab this one, though. Hopefully, it will be gone by my next visit so I won't need to decide!

How to remove the third row seat from an 850: viewtopic.php?t=49056
Nothing had to be cut or destroyed for me, just disassemble and remove.

Erik, your write up is great but it does not show how to remove the latch in the seat back. It has plastic lock tabs and if you are lucky you can remove it without braking it but those I have seen are all hardened with age and brittle making it easy to snap the lock tabs off. You can see how they come out one removed but guessing is more likely to damage it. In fact it would be the first part I would try to remove before taking anything else out as without it you are wasting your time.

Actually, the write up clearly (I hope) explains how to remove the plastic latch guide piece. To quote: "... with the second row seat up, push the trim down about ΒΌ inch, then it will basically fall right out."
I tried to go to lengths to document removing the plastic bits without them breaking. Removing the guide was so easy that I didn't think it needed a pic, so that makes it easy to miss that part of the instructions. If you first slide the piece downward, then the retaining tabs will instead be aligned with notches in the metal seat back, and free to move. Slide down, pull out. I wish I had one here, I would document and add it to the write up.
Back seats without a latch guide from the factory still have the metal notches hidden behind the carpet, you just have to cut the carpet in the right place in order to install the latch guide.
Neil, maybe the V70 latch guide is different along with other changes in the seats moving from 850 to x70. I know you work mostly (only?) on V70 wagons. The two third row seats I removed were from 850s, as per the title here. I haven't messed with the guide in a V70 seat.
