Pull the trim just above glove box and use a coat hanger wire cut a few inches long with a 3/8 to 1/2 inch long section bent 90 degrees. The center screw for glove box top has a slot to the left of it. If you stick the hook you've bent on the wire straight in 3 1/2 inches with hook up and then turn the hook to the left 90 degrees and pull to rear of vehicle you will catch the release lever and it will open.
That trim can be removed with a small screwdriver or other flat small prying tool by inserting on RH end and prying rearward. One it moves back then go to the left and work it off.
