Horn Relocation

Post by Swedishspeed »

I wanted to do a small project today, so i figured id move the horns. I read the guide on volvospeed, went smooth until i tried getting the wires down to the new location. I took the eletric head off the horns, undid the first clip along the vertical column, and found the 2 along the bottom and undid those. I then noticed that my horn wires were not seperate, and were part of one big bound line of what appeared to be 8-10 other wires. I tried to find how to get this line loose and found no way, there was a clip, but i couldnt fit my hand in there to undo the clip, and i doubt it would free the whole line. Any one ever have this problem? The two horn wires joined into a master line.

Yes, same with mine. That's why you have to mount the horns close to each other. I made a bracket for one of my horns and it fits under the drivers' side front bumper (behind the fog lights) just fine.

but how did u get the 2 plugs that far down there, i saw the bracket, it seems kinda low to be honest, but the lowest i could get the 2 plugs would be the spaces under the grey part of the bumper, did u cut the wires free or something? maybe i gotta get that far clip

Don't know...mine reached but it was tight...maybe your wiring is hung up somewhere. I do recall undoing some clips.
