Octane Booster?

With the exponential increase in the price of a gallon of gas from your bare bones 87 octane up to 93, I seem to remember reading somewhere to do not add a can of octane type booster to the tank. Do you guys agree with this or is there a product out there that is actually beneficial to the tank of gas?

You'd need to add a lot to make a difference. US91 is the same quality as regular European fuel the Volvos are designed for.

Discussions in other threads here have also suggested fuel quality might be worse for low octane fuels making them a poor choice in more ways.

Still. Fuel is practically free in the US anyway..

Yeah. but they used to pay us to use it.

You can often get a boost by filling your tank at 1/2 full of 87 and 93, alternating , and paying less than the mid grade price to boot.
