I recently brought a 2006 XC90 which had a radiator leak. Over the weekend I replaced the radiator and the leak stopped from the radiator. However I am still loosing coolant which drips right under the engine and by the oil filter.
Any advise on where to check the leak will be helpful.

Are you sure the leak is not a ac condenser drain?

Thanks for the reply. I can double check. But the leak is more inward towards the engine.

Need advice pls, I have attached a picture.
Passenger side under engine near oil filter coolant dripping. Is it due to thermostat housing? I don't recall disconnecting anything near that place when I replaced the radiator.
2006 Volvo XC90 2.5 thermostat housing is in the front of the engine on top.

- Please post mileage b/c it is important in the discussion.
- You probably have > 200K miles. Check the coolant hose that runs along the PCV system.
You don't need to spend $200 for the whole thing. You can remove the old hose and use generic heater hoses + clamp.

Yes, exactly 200k miles. And how exactly is to get to this hose? From behind the engine?

- Change the PCV. Some people reuse the oil trap. But all the associated rubber hoses must be replaced.
- The P80 850 S70 has some DIYs. I wrote a PCV trick for the 1998 S70.
- The main difference in the XC90 is the coolant hose and banjo connections. Just cut the Oetiker clamps off. Go to local auto parts to buy generic Gates heater hoses and clamps.
- With some creativity, you will save some money.
- Do a writeup for others.

- If you don't want to deal with this again, then some people just plug the coolant openings with appropriate bolts/washers with the same thread pitch as the banjo thingy.
