Just wanted to share this with all those chasing down evap leak codes, like 0445 and 0442.
Def check/replace all hoses, J hoses, roll over valve, etc. Those are the main things that affect it. I was getting 0445 until I fixed these.
But the small leak, code 0442, kept creeping up after doing all that. what eventually fixed it?
Got some 600 sandpaper and sanded down the metal filler neck until it was nice and smooth. Even with a new gas cap, I was not getting a perfect seal. I guess 20 years of the gas pump nozzle nicking the filler neck caused enough imperfections to cause a small evap leak!

Great idea, but how did you prevent particulates from falling down into the filler neck, so that they would not make it into the fuel tank?

not too worried, there's more #hit in actual gasoline. That's what fuel filters are for.
