This year please buy gifts using this link - it helps MVS

Post by matthew1 »

It's the Amazon-MVS link, the one you might be sick of hearing about. Sorry if that's the case. :(

Thank you to the several users per week who use it!

When you use that link to go to Amazon and then put items in your cart and buy them, MVS gets around 4% of what you pay. It's a really good program because it's a win-win between you and MVS. Amazon's the one who gets a "haircut".

You pay the same price if you use the link or not, so why not?

All the server software I use to run MVS is free (Linux, etc.), it's the services and development software that add up.

The payout MVS gets from the Amazon-MVS link goes to paying for the server and software tools I use to keep things humming along, like the $9.99/month Photoshop subscription, or upgrades of the apps I use for development like Panic Coda and Panic Transmit. Also, there's AWS, the Amazon cloud product that handles 95% of the VRD images.

So that's the story behind that.

By the way, Santa's bringing my 9-year-old son a Bose BOSEbuild Speaker Cube - A Build-it-Yourself Bluetooth Speaker for Kids on Dec. 24th eve. That has the MVS referral code embedded in it.

Thanks a bunch and Happy Thanksgiving!
