Nutters. I'd be terrified if I saw someone doing that anywhere near me.

They mostly don't seem to be moving too fast but all of a suddenly someone will overtake them going 200.. the car with the camera in must be a van, judging by camera height.

There are at least hundred vans for every pickup truck in Europe. And the few pickups are mostly private cars, businesses use vans with only a few exceptions.

If identified both drivers would be punished. The driver with the camera does some really stupid shit as well.

Van appears to have a rigid suspension system, and at least 350 Horsepower plus...if video speed was realistic. Acceleration was solid. Initially, there was a pinch of rain....ABS braking is what prevented a hard braking accident.

Driver was initially doing some 30 mph [48 kph] faster than others. Yes, on Autobahn, speeds can be much higher...but for safety there, a reduced speed would have been better.

I'd say that was a high performance van....in video, there is a dash-reflection on windshield, but I'm not aware of vans in Europe. USA vans are not high performance, but SUVs can be.

A van is not the same as a SUV: 21 SUVs With the Most Horsepower in 2018 - We start off with models that have 400 horsepower, and move upward.

Looking at the other traffic and the way the BMW just disappears at one point while you hear the engine of the camera car at what must be full throttle while it tries to keep up is say they aren't going as fast as it seems and it doesn't seem to be a performance van. The BMW probably has 300ish horsepower. They're definitely not going proper full Autobahn speed, then the lorries and caravans on the right would just be flashing by. At lower speeds and with a light load regular diesel vans are not too slow to get moving up to a hundred kph or so, then they get tired.

Could be a SUV as well I guess but I'd still bet on a VW Transporter or something.

I suspect video's speed was accelerated...as based upon "stiff suspension" effect. Sound effects can always be removed, and then added back to an altered video.. Using VLC, I ran video's speed at 75%, and this might be more realistic.

Video was uploaded via BEST OF DASHCAM EUROPE, which suggests the van driver sent it to them...again, for revenge...he was "pissed." Since uploaders can make a buck on Youtube, videos can be edited for the audience.

Imho, van driver needed to be ticketed...drivers who maximize their speeds by dodging/weaving in traffic are traffic hazards. Considering roadway's wet surface in earlier video footage shows he's a knucklehead (a stupid person). With a van's higher center of gravity, his speeds were not prudent.

I've posted this video before, but it shows a pinch of oversteer can be disastrous. Van driver was close to doing this on that ramp exit.

The BMW driver is at fault with what we can know. I saw no speed limit signs and we see no speedometer to know the speeds. The BMW driver got over when a faster vehicle was approaching when he could have yielded. Once he got over he passed the one car and then decided to be an ass. The #2 vehicle didn't seem to come that close to him or follow too closely as I can can count 2 seconds between I think. Then the truck/van driver gets pissed once the prick in the Bimmer does the brake check thing.

As soon as the van driver gets upset they're both guilty.

I fully realize that but the first offense is no yeilding to faster traffic. If I want to talk to the cashier at the market is it OK for me to do that when 5 other customers wait behind me? No. Same for roads. You should get into another lane for passing with regard to traffic oncoming on two lane roads and for overtaking vehicles on multi lane roads. Besides brake checking is dangerous. You should ease wheels onto shoulder and pitch debris and gravel on the too close vehicle behind. :)
